FRISCO — GloriaLavern Cella Platt, 92, of Frisco, NC died Tuesday, February 13, 2018,at Spring Arbor of the Outer Banks. Born in Bellevue, PA on September18, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Pearl Violet Macker Cellaand George Frank Cella, Sr.
A registered nurse,Gloria retired from Barberton Citizens Hospital in Ohio. Full ofdetermination and feistiness, she lived life on her terms. She willtruly be missed by all who knew her.
Gloria is survived by adaughter, Carla Marie Meekins of Avon, NC; a son, Terrence Lee Platt ofRavenna, OH; three grandchildren, Sheryl Meekins O’Neal, Theresa PlattHawkins, and Carl Jacob Platt; and two great-grandchildren, JordanChristopher Varamo and Joslyn Hawkins.
Along with parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence M. Platt, Jr.; and a brother, George Frank Cella, Jr.
No service is planned at this time. Burial will take place at Quantico National Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of Spring Arbor of the Outer Banks for treating Gloria like family.
