FRISCO — Amelia Barnett, of Frisco, was born on June 6, 1944, and passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2024.
Amelia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She had a deep love for nature, often enjoying the simple beauty of butterflies and hummingbirds, which always seemed to brighten her day. Many afternoons were spent outside, where you could find her peacefully swaying on her favorite swing. Her laugh was infectious, lighting up every room she entered, and she was cherished by many for her kind heart and warm spirit.
Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jackie Barnett, Sr. She is survived by her son, Jackie Barnett, Jr.,and her three daughters, Vivian Barnett (Henry Schinke), Elaine Barnett, and Michele McGee (John McGee), all of Frisco. She also leaves behind her grandson, Jackie Osborne Barnett(Kendall Barnett), of Alabama; her granddaughter, Teresa Barnett Hogan (Bill Hogan), and two great-grandchildren, Thomas Hogan and Liv Hogan, of Virginia; as well as numerous brothers and sisters along with nieces and nephews.
Amelia’s love and kindness touched the lives of many, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday,September 21, 2024, at the Barnett Family Cemetery on Piney Ridge Road, Frisco, NC.
