Carol June Cornelius

Carol June Cornelius, 78, passed away on August 11, 2022. She was born in New Ulm, MN on March 8, 1944. Carol was married to the late John Cornelius, and they moved from Pennsylvania to the Outer Banks in 1987. She opened Oceanside Bakery where she loved to bake. Carol was a caring and loving person who enjoyed family, friends, the sun, and a good book.

Carol is survived by her son, Christopher M. Cornelius; daughter-in-law, Martina Cornelius, and grandson Jayden C. Cornelius of Clayton, NC.

The family will honor Carol’s plans for cremation and there are no services planned at this time.  Expressions of sympathy and comfort are welcome via the online register at www.gallopfuneralservices.com.
