SOUTHERN SHORES — After a long, courageous battle with cancer, Edwin J. Miller of Southern Shores, NC, passed away peacefully with friends and family by his side on July 20, 2023. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Dorothy Miller. He is survived by his loving wife, Camille “Peaches” Miller; children, James Miller (Julie), Ryan Miller (Teri), Deborah Goodermuth (Mark), and David Agrella (Luisa); brother, David Miller (Vivian); sister, Susan Wolf (Paul); grandchildren, Ross Craig, Taylor Craig, Christopher Agrella, Will Agrella, Sydney Agrella, Grayson Miller, Madison Goodermuth, Kate Miller, River Miller, and Baker Miller; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
After a well-traveled childhood as the son of a military dad, Ed attended Chowan University, where he had a passion for wrestling and football. He then moved to Virginia, where he would later meet the love of his life, Peaches. While in Virginia, Ed opened and eventually sold his first heating and air conditioning company.
After their children were grown, he and Camille turned their favorite vacation spot into their home and moved to the Outer Banks. Ed built their home with his own two hands, and after a brief break that included playing and coaching lots of tennis, he started his second successful business, Delta T Heating & Air. Although he had many accomplishments, ED will be most remembered for his integrity, kindness, and witty humor.
A celebration of life will be held at Duck Woods Country Club this fall; additional information to come. In lieu of gifts or flowers, please send donations to the Duck Woods Ladies Tennis Association in support of their annual high school senior tennis scholarship program (50 S Dogwood Trl, Southern Shores, NC 27949).
