MANTEO — Linda Hoffler Tillett, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, in Manteo, NC, at the age of 75. Born on September 9, 1949, in Hertford, NC, Linda lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to her family and community.
Linda graduated from Manteo High School and pursued a career as a beautician after completing her studies at beautician school. Throughout her career, she brought joy and confidence to many clients through her skilled work and warm personality.
A dedicated member of the Manteo First Assembly, Linda was deeply committed to her faith and community. She touched the lives of many through her role as a teacher of an adult Sunday School class, sharing her wisdom and kindness with all who knew her.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ida Matthews and William Hurley Hoffler.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Saint Tillett; her loving sons, Brian “Bo Bo” Tillett and his wife Valorie, along with their children Claire and Isabella Tillett, and Brent Tillett and his wife Tracie, with their children Chandler and Daniel Tillett. Linda also leaves behind her cherished sister, Betty Perry, and her husband Ronnie, as well as their children Amy Robinson and Ellen Peterson.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Manteo First Assembly. Her family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the lasting impact she had on those around her.
Flowers are accepted, or donations in memory of Linda may be made to Manteo First Assembly or Amedisys Hospice Foundation.
Linda will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family and community. Her legacy of compassion and dedication will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
