KILL DEVIL HILLS — Marvin Lee Via, Jr., aged 96, passed away on November 5, 2024, in Kill Devil Hills, NC. He was born on November 16, 1927, in Mt. Fair, VA.

Marvin served his country honorably in the United States Army and Air Force during World War II, demonstrating courage and dedication. After his military service, he pursued a successful career and retired as a senior engineer in the mechanical industry.

Marvin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Ann Corrado Via; daughter, Linda S. Lewis; sons, Kenneth B. Via and Michael D. Via (wife, Geri); his parents, Lottie Virginia Garrison Via and Marvin L. Via; sisters, Gladys Trullender and Marie Bennett; and brother, Jasper Via.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his surviving family: daughter, Vicki L. Via; sons, Timothy B. Via and Dennis A. Via; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A private burial will take place at Laurel Memorial Gardens in Poplar Branch, NC, where Marvin will be laid to rest alongside his loved ones. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.
