WANCHESE — Ronald “Bubba” Leigh Livesay, 71, of Wanchese, NC died Wednesday, August 24, 2022, in his home after a long hard battle with cancer with his wife and son by his side. Bubba was the son of Edward and Irene “Rena” Livesay of Petersburg, VA. He is survived by his wife Donetta Webb Livesay, son, Matthew Caine and granddaughter, Ava Mason.
Bubba was a retired lineman with NC Power. Bubba loved the Dare County community. He loved delivering veggies from his garden to friends, casting fishing lines, and throwing back Miller Lites with his boys but most of all, his most cherished and favorite things were his daily morning phone calls with his mother “Rena”, sitting on the dock waiting for Caine to back into the slip to see his catch and spending time with his granddaughter Ava Mason. Bubba’s smile, funny one-liners, and jokes will be missed. One thing is certain he surely knew how to have FUNN! Our hearts are heavy, but at peace~ knowing he is no longer suffering.
