WAVES — Ronald H. Williams was born on April 10, 1948, in Manteo, NC, and peacefully passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 76 in Waves, NC. A man of few words, Ronald had the biggest impact on the lives of those around him.
Retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Ronald dedicated his life to hard work and providing for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Judy Edwards Williams, his daughter Angela O’Neal (Ed) of Waves, and his son Ronnie Williams (Gina) of Frisco.
Ronald was a loving father to his children and a cherished grandfather to his numerous grandchildren: Nicholas (Sheryl), Brandi, Gray, Alex, Precious, Lindsey, Lynzie, Amber (Malcolm), and Victoria. His legacy continued through his great-grandchildren: Presley, Cylus, Malachi, Axel, Adayah, Jedidiah, Kaison, and Khali.
Also, surviving is his sister, Diane Moore (Jim), and nieces and nephews Allen Moore (Janie), Christy Hobbs (Ronnie), Donnie Williams, Jr. (Susie), Vanessa Jones (Ricky), Lynette Williams, Christopher Edwards, and Donna Rose (Davis).
He was preceded in death by his daughter June Marie Williams, great-grandchild Nolan O’Neal, parents Christian Barnett Williams and Allen Williams, and brother Donnie Williams (Mamie).
A service to honor and celebrate Ronald’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Williams residence (25271 NC 12 Hwy, Waves, NC 27982). Ronald will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his memory and impact will live on through his family and loved ones.
