FRISCO — Walton Julius Fulcher, a devoted husband, father, and military veteran, peacefully passed away on April 1, 2024, at the age of 94. A native of Buxton, NC, he was born on August 23,
1929.
Walton proudly served his country in the United States Army for 22 years, achieving the rank of Major before retiring. He was a dedicated member and cofounder of Cape Hatteras United Methodist Men, former president of Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative, and a faithful member of Buxton United Methodist Church.
Walton is survived by his loving daughters Donna Tackaberry, Joy Carter, Patti Robinson (Lyle), and Denise Norville (Danielle); seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Ross, Charles, A.B., and Dalton Fulcher.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Betty; and his parents, Muriel Jennette Fulcher and Albin Fulcher; two grandsons, Jeffrey Tackaberry and Stephen Hickman; son-in-law, Jeff Tackaberry; and brother, Roy Fulcher.
A memorial service with military honors to celebrate Walton’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Buxton United Methodist Church, with Rev. Toni Wood officiating.
Following the service, all are invited to a catered reception at the church.

Walton will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and his commitment to his community. May he rest in peace.
