Governor Roy Cooper Speaks at Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce Economic Summit
The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce hosted Governor Roy Cooper as their keynote speaker this morning at the 2018 Economic Summit held at the Hilton Garden Inn.
The event was sponsored by The Willey Agency (Fletcher and Linda Willey) and Towne Bank (David McGlaughon).
Governor Cooper reiterated his support of No Drill on the Outer Banks as well as spoke about his desire to improve education in North Carolina and improve North Carolina’s response to the opioid epidemic.
Following the governor, Jerry Jennings, Division 1 Engineer for the NC Department of Transportation provided an update on the Bonner Bridge, Mid Currituck Bridge, and the Jug Handle Bridge in Hatteras.
The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce is an advocate for business on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. A regional organization, the Outer Banks Chamber serves Dare County, Currituck County and Ocracoke Island. There are currently more than 1065 members.
