4 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Over the Weekend, Bringing Dare County Total to 3,183
Dare County announced 4 new positive COVID-19 test results over the weekend, (including 3 on Saturday, May 8, and 1 on Sunday, May 9), bringing the total number of cases in the county since the pandemic began to 3,183.
With the weekend’s new cases, the current number of active cases in the county is now 25.
The 4 additional cases include the following:
Saturday’s New Cases:
1) non-resident, 25-49, male, transferred isolation
2) resident, 25-49, female, home isolation
3) resident, 18-24, female, home isolation
Sunday’s New Cases:
1) non-resident, 50-64, male, transferred isolation
New positive cases are updated on the dashboard of the Dare County website and are shared on the DHHS Facebook page when information is received.

Went to John’s Drive Inn on Sunday May 9th…wore a face mask even though outside…I was the ONLY person wearing one…boy…the looks I received…like I was an alien….
