Dare County Sheriff’s Office makes drug-related arrests in Avon, Manteo
On December 3 at approximately 6:05 p.m., Deputies working the C-District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on N.C. Highway 12 near ORV Ramp 32 in Avon. During the traffic stop, the Deputy established probable cause to search the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and a felony amount of marijuana was located and seized. Also located in the vehicle were open containers of alcohol. Lori Louise Dale F/58, Avon, NC, was charged with (F) PWIMSD Schedule VI Controlled Substance, (M) Driving while Impaired, (M) Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia, (M) Possession of Open Container, Speeding and Vehicle Registration Violation. Dale was given a $18,000 secured bond.
On November 18 at approximately 12:53 a.m., Deputies working the B-District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on U.S. 64 near the Piggly Wiggly in Manteo. During the traffic stop, a K9 was deployed on the vehicle and alerted to the presence of a controlled substance. During the search of the vehicle, an amount of Methamphetamine, Hydrocodone and Drug Paraphernalia were located and seized. Amanda Nicole Hendrix F/41, Latta, SC, was arrested and charged with (F) Possession of Methamphetamine, PWIMSD Methamphetamine, (F) Maintaining a Vehicle, (M) Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Hendrix was given a $10,000 secured bond. Manteo Police Department assisted on the vehicle stop.
