BUXTON — Gail Storm Packer, 61, went to be with her Lord Sunday, December 3,2017 after a brave, yet brief, battle with cancer.
Gail wasthe daughter of the late Viola Rae and Roger Farrow. She was alsothe loving wife of the late Billy Packer who recently preceded her indeath.
Alifelong Hatteras Islander, Gail’s entire life was given to the serviceof others. She nurtured and cared for her parents, grandparents, andher husband faithfully and lovingly. Gail will be remembered as aperson who always put others first.
Besidesbeing an active member of Heritage of Faith Family Church, Gail was anavid gardener and an incredible cook. Though she will be missed, Gailwill be alive in our hearts.
Hersurvivors include her two daughters, Alicia Packer of Buxton, NC, andLindsey Packer (fianc� Will Smith) of Hatteras; one grandson, DecklanCorpening; one brother, Roger Farrow (Kelly) of Somerset, Mass.; twonieces, Jessica Farrow and Brooke Medeiros; and two nephews, EricMidgett and Jonathan Medeiros. Also left behind are Gail’s dearest andclosest friends Josie Farrow, Lovie Carter, Donna Swain and TerryPonton as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
Thefamily will host a celebration of Gail’s life Thursday, December 7,2017 at 11 a.m. at the Heritage of Faith Family Church. PastorDavid Stowe will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family gratefullysuggests that any memorial donations in Gail’s honor be sent to the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation.
