RODANTHE– Mildred Mae Midgett, 78, died Friday, August 18, 2017 at The OuterBanks Hospital. A native of Rodanthe, she was the daughter of the lateCarethia Midgett and David B. Midgett. Mildred was a member of FairHaven United Methodist Church.
Mildredis survived by two children, Linda M. Midgett and Joseph David Midgettand wife, Kit all of Rodanthe; three grandchildren, Kayleigh Mae,Andrew Moore, and Emma Joy; a great-grandson, Kaiden Wade Early; asister, Maggie Smith and companion Mack Hairr of Chesapeake; along withseveral nieces, nephews, and numerous other family members.
Alongwith her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert K.Midgett, Jr.; two sons, Gary Wade Midgett and H.K. Midgett III; and twobrothers, David B. Midgett, Jr. and Joseph “Mac” Midgett.
Afuneral will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at FairHaven United Methodist Church with Pastor Stephen Wescott officiating.Graveside committal and burial will be private in the Midgett familycemetery.
