Ferry Division Recaps Eventful 2019 at All Modes Meeting
The North Carolina Ferry Division recapped a busy 2019 during a meeting of the N.C. Department of Transportation’s multi-modal divisions last week.
“We initiated the Ocracoke Express service, we christened a new ferry, and we responded to Hurricane Dorian, a storm unlike any we have seen for a while on the Outer Banks,” said Ferry Division Director Harold Thomas. “Through it all, we learned a lot about what we will need to do to adapt and thrive in 2020 and beyond.”
The All Modes Meeting took place in Raleigh Jan. 30 and included representatives from the state’s Ferry, Aviation, Rail, Bicycle & Pedestrian and Public Transportation divisions.
