Sea Turtle Rescue Group’s Virtual Auction Set
Network for Endangered Sea Turtles, or N.E.S.T., is holding an online silent auction fundraiser this year instead of its annual in-person event typically held every spring.
The Valentine’s virtual auction that begins Friday and ends Feb. 6 will features a variety of pieces, from restaurant gift certificates to unique fashion finds. Items only be available for pickup will be marked. The auction items can be viewed online now.
“The winter months bring cold-stunned sea turtles to our shores, and funds raised support our volunteer efforts to rescue, transport, and support the rehabilitation efforts at the STAR Center,” according to organizers.

N.E.S.T. is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection and conservation of sea turtles and other protected marine wildlife on the Outer Banks of North Carolina from the Virginia line to south Nags Head. N.E.S.T. works in partnership with the North Carolina Wildlife Commission and the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island.
