Weekly Summer Concert Series returning to the Koru Beach Club in Avon for 2021
The popular weekly summer concert series is returning to Avon’s Koru Beach Klub for the summer of 2021, after a year-long hiatus in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic, per property owner, Joe Thompson.
The first show will be held on June 17, 2021, and will feature On the Border, a popular Eagles tribute band that has played at the large Avon venue in previous years.
The concerts will be held every Thursday through the end of August at the Beach Klub, which is the largest outdoor venue in Avon, and is located next to the Avon Pier and Pangea Tavern. Tickets and a full list of upcoming shows are not available just yet, but are expected to be posted on the Koru Beach Klub website within the next few days.
“We are not sure yet what our allowed capacity will be [at the Beach Klub venue] in the summertime,” said Thompson, “so that is something we have to consider before we can make tickets available for sale.”
Currently, the state of North Carolina has a mass outdoor gathering limit of 200 people, which is in effect until at least June 30.
The Koru Beach Club venue, which has been hosting summertime concerts for the past few years, is a primarily outdoor venue with a covered stage, open-air seating, and outside vendor stands for food and drinks.
