Interviewers with Dynamics of Extreme Events, People and Places (DEEPP) are wrapping up discussions with residents of Buxton, Frisco, and Hatteras Village in February and March of 2022. Several of your neighbors have already completed our survey which addresses the following topics:
- storm impacts on property
- disruptions of day to day life
- access to recovery programs
- stress felt during and after storms
- how neighbors help each other get through challenging times
- attitudes about the future
If your household has been selected to participate, but have not completed the survey yet, a member of our team will contact you soon. All information you share will be kept confidential. We will use what we learn from the surveys to provide your community and policy makers with information we hope will help efforts to prepare for and recover from storms and floods. We sincerely hope you choose to participate and appreciate your time to conduct these interviews.
We’d love to hear from you. Please email questions, comments, or suggestions to DEEPP@unc.edu.
