Avon Farmers Market is returning for 2023 with a new location
The Avon Farmers Market is returning for the 2023 season on Tuesday, June 13, with a new location next to the Vacasa office along N.C. Highway 12.
“The market was held in this location some years ago, so it is kind of returning to where it started,” stated market organizers.
The market is sponsored by the Avon Property Owners Association, and will feature a host of local artisans, craftsmen, regional farmers, and other homegrown entrepreneurs stationed on the grounds near Vacasa and the Avon Post Office.
“This year, we will have 50 vendors with a wide range of food, art, and crafts. We are welcoming back Brothers Farm Market and new this year will be Twisted Willow Farm offering quality pasture-raised meat.”
The market runs every Tuesday until September 12 and is open weekly from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Featuring a wide range of local island artists, the farmers market is a fine way for residents and visitors alike to support the community, while sampling what the island arts scene is all about.
