On January 2, the Outer Banks community welcomed its New Year’s baby, Nolan Leibowitz, who was born at 8:13am at Outer Banks Health Hospital. Nolan, who weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces, and measured 21 inches long at birth, is the third child of Andreia and Scott Leibowitz of Colington Harbor; his two older brothers are Dylan (10) and Miles (8), who both attend First Flight Elementary School.
The Leibowitz family arrived at the hospital at 5:30am, and shortly thereafter, Nolan made his world debut. The parents expressed their appreciation for the care they received. “The whole team was amazing, and the nurses were phenomenal,” said the mom of three. “Oh, and especially Dr. Dwyer, who got down on his knee to be on my level when he reassured me that everything would be fine,” added Andreia.
As the first baby born on the Outer Banks in 2024, Nolan holds a special place in the hearts of the community, symbolizing hope and new beginnings. Welcome to the world, baby Nolan. May your horizons be filled with health and happiness.
