The conference will be held on Thursday, March 14 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Kill Devil Hills.
On March 14, members of the Dare County community are coming together for the sixth Dare County State of the Child Conference. This one-day event will give leaders and professionals the chance to discuss and explore opportunities and long-term solutions to our children’s areas of greatest need, including child care, early learning, well-being and enrichment/recreation.
The Dare County 2024 State of the Child Conference is presented by the Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County through a generous grant from the Outer Banks Community Foundation and thanks to presenting sponsors Outer Banks Health and Surf Pediatrics & Medicine.
Parents, business and community leaders, members of the public, and those who work with children are invited to the conference presentations by two national speakers and to be a part of the discussions, which will be held at Ramada Plaza in Kill Devil Hills from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $20, and a buffet-style lunch is provided.
Advance registration is required. Note that spaces are filling quickly, and same-day registration will not be available. Registration is recommended as soon as possible.
