On April 28, 2018, Cape Hatteras Secondary School had their high school prom. It was organized and put together by the class of 2019 with the help of their class sponsor, Mrs. Jessica Bailey. The theme was “A night under the Stars,” and the prom was held at the Spa Koru in Avon. They decorated the spa with lights, candles, and flowers on the tables. After prom got started, the DJ gathered everyone together to dance the cupid shuffle and have some fun. A s’mores bar was even available so that students could make their own s’mores and decorate them.
This year’s senior prom court included Taylor Artzt, Enrique Babilonia, Evan Cabral, Shae O’Neal, Dawson Romanko, Emma Alvarez, Madeline Chandler, Savannah Scarborough, Kendal Woods, and Krystle Woods. Enrique Babilonia and Madeline Chandler were crowned Prom King and Queen.
An after-prom party was sponsored by Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts. From 11 p.m. to 3 a.m., students were allowed to ride go-karts and play mini golf for free as many times as they wanted. It was a fun gathering of friends and classmates.
Prom 2018 will be one to remember. Thanks the to the class of 2019 and everyone that contributed the evening’s success.
