St. John UMC in Avon will host 4th Annual Bazaar on August 1 with food, music, kids’ activities, and more

The St. John United Methodist Church (UMC) in Avon is hosting a community bazaar on Thursday, August 1, starting at 7:00 a.m., and continuing until 2:00 p.m. The daylong event features kids’ activities, music, homemade meals for breakfast and lunch, and much more.

The bazaar was originally scheduled for July 18 but was postponed due to inclement weather.

The United Methodist Women will be selling homemade biscuits and sausage gravy in the morning, followed by a BBQ lunch. There will also be a host of activities throughout the event including face painting, games, a huge yard sale, and a silent auction.

The  schedule for the bazaar is as follows:

  • Bake Sale – 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Breakfast Biscuits – 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
  • BBQ Lunch – 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Silent Auction – 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Yard sale –  – 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Face painting throughout the day.

Celebrating its fourth year in 2024, the annual bazaar will serve as a fundraiser toward Ret’s Retreat, a new building project that will create a retreat center for local youth.

The St. John United Methodist Church is located at 40336 McMullen Road in Avon Village, and everyone is welcome to come visit throughout the day to join in the fun.
