Dare County Schools Art Show opens this month at Glenn Eure’s Ghost Fleet Gallery
The public is invited to tour the free exhibition and enjoy the creations of local K-12 art students throughout the county. An opening reception will be held Saturday, Jan. 21 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. The art show will run Monday – Friday from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. inside Glenn Eure’s Ghost Fleet Gallery.
The show will feature an impressive variety of artistic mediums, including mixed media, paintings, graphic design, drawings, photography, and sculptures. The annual show gives students an opportunity to practice new techniques and showcase what they have learned throughout the school year. This year promises to be another memorable and inspiring show. Glenn Eure’s Ghost Fleet Gallery has been the home of the Dare County Schools Art Show for over 35 years. After the passing of artist and humanitarian, Glenn Eure, in 2018, it was unknown if the gallery would remain home to such a locally cherished event. Happily, Pat Eure, the widow of Glenn Eure, has continued to stay true to the mission of the gallery – to be a gem to the Outer Banks community, especially children and aspiring artists. The show offers local families an opportunity to celebrate the artistic talents of K-12 students in Dare County Schools.
Dare County Schools is honored to hold the Dare County Schools Art Show at the Glenn Eure’s Ghost Fleet Gallery again this year.
