AVON — Wanda Kay Gray O’Neal, 69, ofAvon, NC died Thursday, August 10, 2017, at her home. Born inCumberland County, NC on January 10, 1948, she was the daughter of thelate Alma Scarborough Gray and Arthur Lupton Gray. She was a homemakerand member of St. John United Methodist Church.
Wanda is survived by herhusband, Loran Pierce O’Neal, Jr.; five children, Mary ElizabethO’Neal, Loran “Buddy” O’Neal III, Ethel Ann O’Neal, Pamela S. O’Neal,and Clifton O’Neal; ten grandchildren, Melanie, Sarah, Ida, Ursi,David, Loran IV, Brian, Cody, Nick, and Xana; and eightgreat-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia Mae Montalvo and Angela Dawn Touchet.
A funeral will be held at 2p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at St. John United Methodist Church withthe Rev. Gina Miller officiating. A reception will be held immediatelyfollowing the service in the fellowship hall. Burial will take place atthe Miller family cemetery in Avon. The family will receive friends andrelatives Saturday evening at the church from 6 until 8 p.m.
