Cory Stowe Sisler passed away onthe morning of December 4, 2017, after a long struggle with addiction.Cory will be greatly missed by so many – an old, good-soul who was bornwith a sparkle in his eyes and a very special way of making everyonelaugh even in the worst of times.
A Hatteras boy and Southsider through and through, Cory was 31 years young.
He was happiest bobbing on a swell in the Atlantic Ocean, Indonesia andthe North Shore of Hawaii waiting for either the next big ride or thenext big catch with his brother, cousins, family and friends.
His parents, Gary and Wendy, will tell you how loving Cory was as achild and how much more so he became as an adult. When Cory gave, hegave wholeheartedly. His father and mother recall with joy the timesspent together. Blessed with too short of a time to share a full life,he will be remembered for his strength of body and kindness of soul. The brightness of his smile and sparkle of his eyes will light the wayfor those who loved him through these dark times.
His brother, Harley, will tell you that Cory lived life with thethrottle wide open and that he cherished every moment of time he spentwith his beloved brother.
Harley and his cousins, Brook and Nelson, Julie, Jake and Patsy spentmuch of their youth in the rough and tumbled pursuits of the young, cutting each other down and building each other up with alternatingscorn and love. Their countless adventures will never be forgotten.
His loving sister Misty will simply tell you that he drove her crazy and that she will miss him every day.
Cory had a close relationship with his Grams, Edith Stowe Oden ofHatteras, who always had a special place in her heart for him, his AuntBeverly, his Aunt Beth and Uncle Mike, Uncle Spurgeon and Aunt Kathy,Sister Whitney and his Uncle Mike.
