Cape Hatteras National Seashore Superintendent, David Hallac and other members of the seashore staff, will be available to answer questions related to the amended Final Rule for off-road vehicle management or other issues at two public meetings in late January..
The first public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 24, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Cape Hatteras Secondary School, Room 303, in Buxton. The second meeting will be on Wednesday, Jan. 25, from 11:30-1:30 p.m. at the Ocracoke Community Center in Ocracoke.
The amended Final Rule for ORV management at the seashore was published in the Federal Register on Dec. 21, 2016 and becomes effective on Jan. 20.
“Please come by to chat about the final rule or anything else you would like to talk about,” Hallac said in an email.
