New text alert service launched by Cape Hatteras National Seashore
The public can now sign up to receive a variety of text alerts from Cape Hatteras National Seashore (CHNS), Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, and the Wright Brothers National Memorial, per a recent update from the CHNS. Text alerts may include park operational updates, conditions, information on educational programs, and more.
“This new communications tool will benefit both vacationers and year-round residents in Dare and Hyde counties,” said David Hallac, superintendent, National Parks of Eastern North Carolina.
Sign up for text alerts by texting NPSOBX to 333111. Subscribers to the text alert service can easily unsubscribe from receiving text messages by texting STOP to 333111. Standard text message and data rates may apply.
