The Island Free Press gets new website to better publish Outer Banks News
New website makes reading and publishing Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands’ News Easier and More Efficient
A long-awaited Christmas Gift is under the tree for The Island Free Press, its readers and supporters! It’s not the traditionally wrapped present, but something long-awaited – A New Island Free Press. – a new website for better publishing the Outer Banks News. In honor of our Founder, and to build on her legacy we dedicate the new website launch, “IFP 2.0”, to Irene Nolan.
The Island Free Press will continue to deliver the trusted content you’ve grown to count on for more than a decade and now be loaded with new features. IFP 2.0 is the result of months of effort and has been custom designed to fit the needs of our unique Island community. While we look forward to sharing this exciting upgraded platform with you, we also understand that change can be uncomfortable. Some of you are accustomed to the original format, and in order to smooth this transition, we have planned a series of articles to be published between now and the launch illustrating what you can expect and how to navigate the new site. Some of the features you can look forward to include:
New Website Features for the Island Free Press (IFP 2.0)
— Unilateral support across all devices including Phones, Tablets, Laptops, Desktops
— Easy navigation with a simple search function and intuitive site structure
— DIY local classifieds filtered by village
— New subscription packages and benefits
As we approach the New Year and launch of our new site, please stay tuned for short daily articles outlining the new features of The IFP 2.0 in more detail. We hope you like it!
