The Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative (CHEC) will require a brief planned power outage on Wednesday, April 10, in order to address several maintenance items, including repairs to the static line in Pea Island and substation maintenance.
Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands will be served by limited diesel generators during this work.
The power outage scheduled for Wednesday is as follows:
- Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, and Avon will experience a 5-minute outage at 7:15 a.m. There will also be a brief outage after the replacement is complete.
