Canes Basketball Teams Hosting First Round of State Playoffs Tuesday Night
Cape Hatteras Secondary School (CHSS) is having another banner year for basketball, as the JV, Lady Canes, and Varsity Canes have all claimed the Conference Championship title, per a recent announcement from CHSS.
CHSS will be hosting the first round of the basketball state playoffs for both the Lady Canes and the Varsity Canes on Tuesday, February 25, and the public is invited to come out to the gym at CHSS to pack the stands and show their support.
Details on both of Tuesday evening’s games are as follows:
Cape Hatteras Lady Canes vs. River Mill Academy – 5:30 p.m.
The Cape Hatteras Lady Canes varsity basketball team has a home playoff game vs. River Mill Academy of Graham, N.C., today at 5:30 p.m. as the first round of the state playoffs for the 2020 Women’s Basketball Championships – 1A tournament.
The Lady Canes won Saturday’s away non-conference game against Columbia, N.C., by a score of 57-31, and won by forfeit in Friday’s neutral conference tournament game against Bear Grass Charter of Williamston, N.C.
Cape Hatteras Varsity Canes vs. Warren County – 7:00 p.m.
The Cape Hatteras varsity basketball team has a home playoff game vs. Warren County of Warrenton, N.C., today at 7:00 p.m. as the first round of the state playoffs for the 2020 Men’s Basketball Championships – 1A tournament.
The Cape Hatteras varsity basketball team won Saturday’s neutral conference tournament game against Columbia, N.C., by a score of 43-35, and won last Wednesday’s home conference tournament game against rival school Ocracoke by a score of 49-26.
