Fair Haven UMC Installs Blessing Box for Tri-villages
A Blessing Box was installed at the Fair Haven United Methodist Church (UMC) in Rodanthe on Saturday, May 2, for Tri-village area residents in need.
The box is full of non-perishable food items, personal hygiene products, and household products, and is stationed directly outside the church.
“Everybody in the community is able to come and take what they need from the box, also if anybody would like to leave items inside of it to bless others, they can do that as well,” stated Fair Haven UMC Pastor Tim Fitch.
“This is just another way that Fair Haven United Methodist Church can continue to feed our community, both physically and spiritually,” he added. “We want everyone to know that they’re welcome and accepted no matter where they’re at in life. I think the community is the most amazing thing about Hatteras Island, and by just putting up this little box, we can help show our community love and support every day.”
The Blessing Box is free and accessible to anyone in the community, and will be monitored every day to ensure it is well supplied. For more information, visit the Fair Haven UMC Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Fair-Haven-UMC-237704637113949/.
