Hyde County Offices will be Closed on Tuesday, August 4
Due to Tropical Storm Isaias, Hyde County Government offices will be closed on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. Hyde County Courts will also be closed on August 4, 2020. We plan to reopen on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 8:00am. If this changes, we will issue another press release.
Hyde County is currently under a Tropical Storm Warning and Storm Surge Warning. Sustained Tropical Storm force winds are expected for our area overnight and Tuesday morning, with Hurricane strength gusts possible. There is also an elevated risk of Tornadoes. Storm Surge prediction models are showing possible inundations of 2 to 4 feet. Please make sure your household has a way to receive severe weather alerts and have flashlights available in case of power outages.
