Coast Guard Responds to Disabled Vessel in the Pamlico Sound
At approximately 3 a.m. on Thursday morning, July 11, crew members from the U.S. Coast Guard Station Oregon Inlet responded to a disabled vessel with two people on board in the Pamlico Sound after their anchor line had failed.
The crew from Station Oregon Inlet went to the site of the vessel and towed the Morning Prayer from Long Point shoal to safe haven at Wanchese harbor.
“There were no medical concerns and both the Coast Guard crew and those on Morning Prayer made it to the harbor safely,” the U.S. Coast Guard Station Oregon Inlet reported in an online statement. “Bravo zulu crew on a job well done!”
