The location for Hatteras Island citizens to provide public comment via remote videolink at Dare County Board of Commissioner meetings has been temporarily relocated from the Fessenden Center Annex to the Fessenden Center. The relocation is a result of hurricane recovery services being provided at the Annex building. The Fessenden Center is located at 46830 Highway 12 in Buxton.
The Board of Commissioners encourages citizen participation and provides time on the agenda at every regularly scheduled meeting for public comments. This is an opportunity for anyone to speak directly to the Board for up to five minutes on any topic or item of concern. The next Board of Commissioners meeting will be held on Monday, September 16 at 5 p.m.
Meetings are televised live on Channel 191 (Current TV Government) for local Spectrum TV customers and can be livestreamed from any device through CurrentTV’s website at https://currenttv.org/watch-government-live/.
