Dare County Library’s 2022 Summer Reading Program “Oceans of Possibilities” is coming to a close next week. All summer long, this free program has attracted hundreds of children to library programs—and, more importantly, kept them reading while they are out of school for the summer!
“Oceans of Possibilities” Summer Reading Program’s Final Events:
- Kill Devil Hills Library: Tuesday, August 9, 2022 – Oceanography STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Challenge! This is a drop-in event geared toward grades K-12. Drop in anytime between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
- Manteo Library: Tuesday, August 9, 2022 – Oceanography STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Challenge! This is an event geared toward grades K-6. Drop in anytime between 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Hatteras Library: Thursday, August 11, 2022 – Oceanography STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Challenge! This is an event geared toward grades K-6. Drop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The last day to add stickers to your summer reading chart in order to qualify for a free book courtesy of the Dare County Library Foundation is Friday, August 12, 2022.
