On Thursday, February 15, at 6:30 p.m., the Rodanthe Waves Salvo (RWS) Civic Association will be hosting its second speaker for its 2024 Speaker Series.

Steve Vanover, an advocate for the Outer Banks Hotline, will explain what human trafficking looks like in North Carolina and how easily people can be pulled into it.  Human trafficking also includes labor trafficking, so Steve will also be discussing the prevalence across the country and North Carolina

This important topic can impact our entire island and surrounding areas. The entire community is invited to attend and raise our awareness.

The event is held at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building located at 23646 NC Hwy 12 in Rodanthe. Check out the Rodanthe Waves Salvo Civic Association’s webpage at https://www.rwscivicassociation.org or their Facebook page for more details.
