Public Comment Period Extended on New Hunt Blind and Wildlife Viewing Platform on Bodie Island
Cape Hatteras National Seashore has extended the public comment period to review the Environmental Assessment (EA) on constructing a new accessible hunting blind and wildlife viewing platform on Bodie Island in Nags Head, North Carolina.
The comment period was extended because the National Park Service Planning, Environmental, and Public Comment (PEPC) website was unavailable to the public during a portion of the recent lapse in federal appropriations.
The EA is available for an additional 17 days public comment period at the PEPC website athttps://parkplanning.nps.gov/caha_accessible_HuntBlind_WildlifeViewing from February 4, 2019 through February 20, 2019. Select the “Construction of a New Accessible Hunt Blind/Wildlife Viewing Platform on Bodie Island” link to view the Environmental Assessment and to make a comment.
Comments can also be mailed to: Superintendent, Cape Hatteras National Seashore, 1401 National Park Drive, Manteo, NC 27954. To ensure your comments are included in this process, they must be entered into PEPC or postmarked by February 20, 2019. Comments will not be accepted by fax, email, or in any other way than those specified above. Bulk comments in hard copy or electronic formats submitted on behalf of others will not be accepted.
