Restroom Facility Replacement Project Begins on Ocracoke Island
A project to replace the restroom facility at the Ocracoke Day Use Area was recently started by contractor APEX Construction, Inc. ( Ocean City, MD ). The new, fully accessible restroom facility is expected to be completed and reopened by mid-June 2019 .
During the construction phase of the $349,000 project, portable restrooms will be available at the Ocracoke Day Use Area. Cape Hatteras National Seashore visitors will continue to have access to the parking lot and boardwalk.
