Dare County Public Works announces Friday trash collection cancellations

Dare County Public Works has announced that trash collection has been cancelled on Friday, February 21, for all unincorporated areas of Dare County and also for the Town of Kitty Hawk.

The decision not to perform trash collection on Friday is because the Bertie County Landfill will remain closed due to impacts from the winter storm. The landfill in Bertie County is  where Dare County Public Works deposits a portion of its residential and commercial trash.

Dare County Public Works will resume its normal trash collection schedule on Monday, February 24.
