Dare County Sets New Record High of COVID-19 Cases with 73 Cases Reported on Saturday
Dare County reported 73 new positive COVID-19 test results on Saturday, January 2, bringing the total number of cases in the county since the pandemic began to 1,759.
Per the most recent update, Dare County currently has 184 active cases, and the 73 cases reported on Saturday is the highest number of new COVID-19 cases recorded in a single day since the pandemic began.
The previous records were set earlier in the week, with 52 cases reported on Friday, Jan 1, and 50 cases reported on Wednesday, December 30.
The 73 additional cases consist of 49 residents and 24 non-residents, and include the following:
