Severe Weather Possible for Thursday
Severe weather with strong winds, heavy downpours, and isolated tornadoes is possible for the Outer Banks on Thursday, per a Wednesday update from the National Weather Service Newport / Morehead City office.
The timing will be in the morning across the coastal plains for Eastern N.C., and Thursday afternoon into early evening along the coast.
1-3 inches of rain is currently forecast with the storm system, and gusty winds of 30 mph or higher are also possible along the Outer Banks throughout the afternoon.
