Fair Haven UMC Offering Free Pumpkins for Tri-Village Kids at Two Upcoming Fall Events
Families in the northern communities of Rodanthe, Waves and Salvo on Hatteras Island will have several opportunities to pick up a free pumpkin – just in time for Halloween carving.
The Fair Haven United Methodist Church (UMC) in Rodanthe is offering free pumpkins for local children at two upcoming events: The Fall Festival at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building on Saturday, October 26, and the Trunk-or-Treat community event at the Fair Haven UMC on Halloween night.
The pumpkins are a free gift for all of the younger community members in the Tri-villages, and is an annual donation from the Fair Haven UMC.
Kids can pick up their pumpkins at the following celebrations:
Rodanthe-Waves- Salvo Civic Association Halloween Party
Saturday, October 26, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Located at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building, across from Chicamacomico Life Saving Station, Rodanthe.
Enjoy an afternoon of games, pumpkins, prizes, and a great feast at this annual event that’s sponsored by the Tri-villages’ Civic Association.
Community Trunk-or-Treat
Thursday, October 31, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Located at the Fair Haven UMC at 24240 Trade Winds Drive, Rodanthe
Join the Fair Haven UMC for a night full of fun, friends and lots of candy! The event features hayrides, bounce house, mini pumpkin patch, and of course, plenty of candy to go around.
