AVON– Holland Scarborough Brothers, 82, died Sunday July 27, 2008, in herresidence. Mrs. Brothers was born in Avon and was a homemaker andmember of Saint John’s United Methodist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Walker Blaine and Edna Midgett Scarborough and the wife of Clayton T. Brothers, Jr.
Besidesher husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sandrea Brothers ofRenton, Wash., and Verna Antonen of Avon; one son, Eric Brothers ofAvon; one sister, Elsie Sawyer of Avon; four grandchildren, GenevieveDenise Hernandez of Senleon, Tex., and Clayton T. Brothers IV ofHouston, Tex.; Jessica Letitia Sherwood and James Peter Sherwood, bothof Renton, Wash., and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brothers waspreceded in death by her son, Clayton T. Brothers III.
Acelebration of life will be in Saint John’s United MethodistChurch on Tuesday, July 29, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Roger Dills. Burialwill be in Cudworth Cemetery in Wanchese. Memorials may be madeto Saint John’s United Methodist Church in Avon.
