FRISCO– Janet Burrus Hughes, 82, of Frisco, NC died Saturday, January 13,2018, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Born in Patchogue, NY, shewas the daughter of the late Goldie Dallas Stowe and Adolphus Burrus,Jr.
Janet retired from EastCarolina Bank and later worked at the Sea Gull Motel and BreakwaterInn. She was a member of Hatteras United Methodist Church.
Janet is survived by adaughter, Suzy Miller of Frisco; Damen Hughes of Frisco; agranddaughter, Doris Bailey of Avon; great-grandson, Dawson Williams; anephew, Denny Ransom (Kristian) of Frisco; and a special lifelongfriend, Roberta Midgett of Salvo, NC.
A memorial service willbe held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Hatteras UnitedMethodist Church. The family will receive friends and relatives at thehome, 52230 Hughes Lane, Frisco, NC 27936.
