KILL DEVIL HILLS — Johnnie Ray Turner, 79, of Kill Devil Hills, NC died Friday, April 19, 2019. Born in Franklin, VA on May 13, 1939, he was the son of the late Hazel Perry Johnson.
A Vietnam Veteran, Johnnie served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a maintenance contractor for Sunshine Lawncare and Landscape of Elizabeth City.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded by his wife, Lillian M. Turner.
Johnnie is survived by a son, Eddie R. Turner and wife, Erin of Junction City, KS; and two grandchildren, Jessica Berkery and husband, Mark and Justin Turner.
A viewing and celebration of Johnnie’s life will be held at Twiford Colony Chapel on Thursday, April 25, 2019, from 1:00 until 3:00 pm.
