WANCHESE — Peggy Saunders Rogers, 87, of Wanchese, NC departed this life to live with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 20, 2019.
She enjoyed feeding the birds, reading her bible, tending to her flowers and putting puzzles together.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Hosanne Payne Saunders and Gus Saunders, Sr.; and two sons, Michael Rogers, Sr. and Danny Rogers, Sr.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Moore (Buster) of Colington and Crystal Rogers of Manteo; one son, Ernest “Sammy” Rogers, Jr. (Brenda) of Wanchese; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, four brothers, and four sisters.
A funeral will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Mann officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Private burial will take place at Cudworth Cemetery.
