HATTERAS — Stanley Luther Davis (Stan) Died Friday, May 5, 2023, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Born On Pearl Harbor Day 1955, in San Diego, CA.
He was the son of the late June Willis Davis (Born and raised in Hatteras Village) and William E. Davis from West Virginia.
Having served his country honorably from 1976 until 1980. Stanley was a United Marines Corps veteran.
Stanley was a special friend, especially to Bunny Clever. Many of you will remember Stanley as always barefooted.
He loved long walks on the beach, loved music, and his many cats. His days were spent on the waterfront, where he had many friends.
He is survived by a sister Georgeanna Davis Estes four brothers Raymond Kenneth Davis. Bruce Edward Davis, Jeffrey Thomas Davis, and Sean Walter Davis. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews spread all across the United States and his special friends, Bunny Clever and Bennett Langowski.
There will be a celebration of his life Tuesday, June 6, from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Oden’s Dock.
