NCBBA shares 2022 contributions, including a recent $5,000 donation to Cape Hatteras United Methodist Men
The North Carolina Beach Buggy Association (NCBBA) outlined their 2022 contributions in an update sent to members, which included a recent donation of $5,000 to the Cape Hatteras United Methodist Men.
“CHUMM does such great work for needy folks in the community [and] we are proud to support them,” stated Al Adam, NCBBA President, in the update.
The recent donation is part of an estimated $27,000 that NCBBA contributed to various nonprofit organizations, community services, school programs, scholarships, and other agencies in Dare and Hyde Counties in 2022.
“We hope that we are fulfilling our obligation to give back to those who give to others in need, and to those who help to keep our communities and visitors safe on these Outer Banks,” said Adam.
In addition to donations, NCBBA held multiple Adopt-A-Highway and Operation Beach Respect events throughout 2022, which are initiatives that aim to clean the Hatteras Island beaches, as well as a stretch of N.C. Highway near the Marc Basnight Bridge.
