A 24-foot private boat was beached at Hatteras village after the operator reported Saturday evening they had lost power and started taking on water outside Hatteras Inlet.
Hatteras Island Ocean Rescue, National Park Service and the U.S. Coast Guard responded to the beach off Summerplace Drive on the northern end of Hatteras village.
Everyone aboard the Treasure said they were OK, according to eyewitness Kenny Pekrun, a retired charter captain from Manteo. Other information was not yet available from authorities on the scene.
